This can happen when we train our muscles to react properly along predetermined path. You will need to train your brain to a similar thing over and over again. Muscle memory is something that we rely on everyday and athletes should create new muscle memory related to their activities. The same sports-related movement that we do repeatedly isn’t only about improving our skills, but also about forming muscle memory. We need to perform various physical exercises and mix them up, so our body and mind can be habituated to specific routines, which will develop into muscle memory.

With good reflexes, you should be able to quickly assess your surroundings at a really rapid pace. The quicker you move, the more difficult your exercise will become. There are basic exercises that can help you to improve your reflexes, such as by using the reaction ball that leaps and bounces unpredictably in various directions. Reflexes can also be improved if you strengthen the peripheral vision. If we are able to see more, we will have better reflexes. You should be able to focus on distant objects on the peripheral of your visions, without moving your head towards it. This will help you to broaden your vision. Lack of quality sleep can also slow our response time. Athletes should have at least seven hours of quality sleep if they want to have excellent focus and reflexes. Even a 30 minute nap can be really beneficial in restoring your reflexes.
